Jewel Walwyn founded Walwyn Educational consulting after 14 plus years as a college counselor and assistant director of admissions. She knows students, colleges, and the world of college admissions. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in English and Master’s in Education, she began working as Assistant Director of Admissions at a private college in Virginia. From this beginning, Jewel Walwyn has started college counseling programs at various private and public schools in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virginia.
Her years of experience lend to an array of presentations, offering expertise in the college process, testing, financial aid, and scholarships to a variety of audiences, most recently speaking at the National Association of Episcopal Schools and the Association of Seventh-day Adventist School Administrators.
As a result of her guidance, millions of scholarship dollars have been awarded to students pursing higher education. Jewel is a member of professional College Counseling organizations such as: the National Association for College Admission Counseling and Potomac and Chesapeake Association of College Admissions Counseling.
